Acoustic fencing is a noise reduction fence that combats excessive noise. It helps to reduce unwanted noise in many applications such as residential, commercial, industrial, railway and highway. Our range of acoustic fencing can reduce noise levels by as much as 32 decibels* in laboratory conditions, while maintaining an attractive and 'natural' façade. For example for every 10dB sound reduction the human ear hears a halving of sound.
Our full acoustic range covers all applications. For residential properties we recommend Jakoustic Reflective and 12k Envirofence due to their timber appearance on both sides and level of noise reduction offered. Jakoustic absorptive can be used for specific circumstances such as for use around generators, or air con units. We also offer commercial and highway acoustic fencing which is CE marked as a system, if you live by a busy road.
Jakoustic® Reflective barrier meets most residential and industrial requirements and is ideal for large spaces as it reflects noise away from its flat timber profile.
12K Envirofence® is a reflective acoustic fence that offers a cost-effective solution for situations where lower level of noise reduction is acceptable in applications subject to low to moderate wind loads.
Jakoustic® Absorptive barrier offers the extra performance of an additional layer of absorptive material contained within a special acoustic membrane.
Jakoustic® Commercial & Highway System is the first complete timber acoustic barrier system which can be CE marked as compliant with requirements of BS EN 14388:2005 relating to road traffic noise-reducing devices. All Jakoustic® barriers feature excellent security characteristics with a completely flat face (with no horizontal rails) which makes it difficult to climb and 34mm thick acoustic boards which are difficult to penetrate.
