Wooden Gravel Boards

Wooden gravel boards are used to increase a fence height and to protect the fence panels or pales from moisture which can cause rot. In addition, they provide a finishing touch to a well put together fence.

Better than UC4: Our wooden gravel boards are made from a specific type of timber species which is treated with our unique Jakcure® pressure treatment, enabling us to supply them with our trademark 25 year guarantee, ensuring no part of your fence is compromised.

Where possible, avoid cutting, drilling or notching any timber that will be in-ground, as per our 25 year Jakcure® terms and conditions. If occasional sections do have to be cut then Cut Treatment should be applied liberally. Gravel boards must be used where a fence is in contact with the ground, as per our Jakcure guarantee terms and conditions.

Types of Wooden Gravel Board Available from Jacksons Fencing

Gravel board for use with slotted posts (Jakposts), includes two spacer blocks: 667600. Extra spacer blocks may also be required: 667601. Size: 1830mm x 140mm x 38mm.

Hedgehog-friendly gravel board for use with slotted posts: 667610. Size: 1830mm x 140mm x 38mm.

Gravel board for use with kit-form fencing, such as Traditional Featherboard: 230700. Size: 2400mm x 150mm x 25mm. This gravel board does not work with our slotted posts (Jakpost).​

Pegs for holding stacked gravel boards together: 644400. Size: 600mm x 50mm x 50mm.

We've created the hedgehog friendly fence gravel board for use with slotted posts to allow hedgehogs to roam freely between gardens at night and also promote the fact that solid walls and fences pose a problem to hedgehogs and the hedgehog population. View the product below.
