Although furniture hasn’t yet been added, it’s easy to imagine a table and chairs here, catching the warm evening light as the sun sets over the rolling Kent hills. The Jakwall® range is a modern alternative to traditional railway sleepers, offering a sleek, contemporary finish thanks to their smooth planed surfaces and chamfered edges. Manufactured from superior quality Jakcure® pressure treated softwood, they’re guaranteed for 25 years against rot and insect attack, exceeding UC4 timber. This makes them ideal not only for raised beds and retaining walls, but also for features such as water features, ponds, and seating, all while being easy to install and safe to use thanks to minimal splintering and no sharp edges.
Clever Built‑In Seating for Low Maintenance Living
One standout feature in this garden is a permanent bespoke bench created by the installer using our sleepers with our Tongue and Groove Effect fence pales fitted on top. This clever design includes weatherproof cushions hidden underneath, allowing seating to be set up quickly whenever the sun comes out.
