Inspired by our popular railing panel courtyard gates, the Cathedral Courtyard Gates blend timber and metal to create a striking and durable entrance gate solution.

​The name “Cathedral” pays homage to the historic City of Canterbury, close to our head office. Combining traditional charm with clean, modern lines, these gates are a versatile choice, perfectly suited for both urban and rural driveways and entrances.

Built with a galvanised steel frame, the Cathedral Courtyard Gates are designed for strength and long-lasting durability. This robust construction prevents the twisting and warping often seen in panelled gates without reinforced frames. The steel frame is clad with Jakcure® treated softwood timber, offering a beautiful finish that complements Jacksons’ timber fencing panels.

Courtyard Gate Post Options

For all our courtyard gates, it is essential to use Jacksons gate posts. These posts are specifically designed to provide maximum support and stability, ensuring your gates operate smoothly and enjoy a long, trouble-free service life.

Galvanised - Our standard option, these gate posts feature a durable, silvery finish that resists corrosion.

Powder coated - Our most popular choice. Our galvanised gate posts are coloured for a sleek, modern look and added weather protection.

Timber clad - galvanised steel posts are timber clad to conceal metal and keep a continual look

Note:

Cathedral gates can be made to a maximum width of 4.8m overall for a double leaf gate set.

Wall plates can be supplied to hang the gates on existing brickwork, providing it is in good condition, or for new installations we recommend galvanised posts with extended hinges that the pier can be built around.

Hinge & hinge eyes are supplied and bolted into place ready for hanging.

Hinge hooks are incorporated in the gate posts.
