As we start the beginning of the traditionally busy autumn season, I wanted to share with you some of the highlights of the past few months.

Hopefully you will have caught sight of the Jacksons brand at one of the many consumer shows that we attended this year, which included the Kent County Show, Royal Windsor Horse Show, Hickstead and the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.  The latter event provided the perfect setting for the unveiling of the latest Jacksons Show garden – The Jacksons Secret Garden Party designed by Jon Sims. An estimated 156,000 visitors made their way to Hampton Court and the garden, which was awarded a prestigious Silver Gilt medal, was featured on BBC2’s coverage of the event along with a commentary by the renowned gardening maestro Monty Don.

Jacksons continued to make its mark within the world of garden design following the company’s attendance at last month’s LANDSCAPE show, established as the essential trade event for discerning landscape designers, architects, contractors, facilities managers and interior designers.  This show proved the ideal launch platform for our latest innovative shade solution, The Curve. Joining the popular Zone and Retreat, The Curve represents a stunning architectural feature that combines contemporary designer appeal with practical functionality to deliver instant style to any garden setting.  The Curve met with a fantastic positive response from the visitors to the show and once again demonstrated the brand’s ability to identify on trend garden accessories – but with the traditional high quality build, durability and proven performance capabilities that have become Jacksons’ hallmark.

On the equestrian front throughout the summer we ran our hugely popular Big Equestrian Photo Competition, which invited our customers to send in a photo of themselves with their equine friends for a chance to win an array of prizes. We received a record number of entries and the competition certainly went down a storm on social media – the judges’ decisions have just been announced, so some great equestrian themed prizes courtesy of our fellow equestrian brands will soon be winging their way to the lucky winners.

Many of you seem to be enjoying our regular blog posts designed to provide helpful advice and inspiration to both our garden loving and equestrian enthusiast customers.  These blogs are written by various Jacksons team members but we also invite contributions from a whole host of external industry experts. If you have any suggestions on topics we should cover in the future – or if you would like to submit a blog based on your particular area of expertise, we’d love to hear from you!

After a year in my new position as CEO of Jacksons Fencing, I’m incredibly proud to be heading up this business and to be working with such an amazing team who continue to ensure the Jacksons brand retains its outstanding reputation for quality, both in terms of the products we manufacture and the exemplary service we provide.  I’d like to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to our customers – your loyalty and regular feedback is pivotal to the ongoing success of the company - so please keep supplying us with your comments and suggestions so that we can continue to improve.  In the current market, complacency is not an option but for Jacksons it never has been.  We remain driven by a hunger to simply always be the very best in our chosen field and in a consumer climate where discounting and identifying cheaper imitations from overseas has become the norm, our passion to deliver unrivalled British quality craftsmanship is stronger than ever.

I look forward to meeting more of you in the months ahead – and to sharing further news of some exciting new developments we have planned!
