Jacksons Fencing, one of Kent’s premier businesses is delighted to announce that the Heart of Kent Hospice is the deserving winner of its Community Challenge, launched in conjunction with the KM Group.
Jacksons is looking forward to working with the dedicated team at the Hospice (based in Aylesford, Kent), which specializes in providing compassionate care to people reaching their end of life. The generous £10,000 make-over funding put forward by Jacksons will be used to improve the gardens at the hospice, making them more accessible and creating a private, relaxing and ultimately therapeutic haven that will be used by patients, carers and visitors alike.
Richard Jackson, CEO Jacksons Fencing says “there were so many worthy winners of the prize and we found it very difficult to draw up our original short list although ultimately it is the people of Kent who quite rightly have identified the final winner. The Hospice represents the epitome of a truly deserving community project. The hospice’s services are local and free and the centre is totally reliant on the support of the community to provide the lion’s share of funding to continue its important work. Many of the 630 volunteers who freely give up their time to support the charity, are involved in maintaining the gardens, demonstrating just how well regarded this cause is. We are delighted that the Hospice has been selected as the winner of the Community Challenge and can’t wait to get started on the garden transformation!”
