TRADITIONAL DESIGN METAL RAILINGS
Ornamental fencing offers a traditional elegant appearance but also provides a good level of security. Panels are hard to scale and feature welded pale-through-rail construction with tamper-proof, concealed panel-to-post connectors and no visible bolts or fixings. We manufacture panels in standard heights, including 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 1800mm, 2000mm, 2500mm, and 3000mm. We can also offer bespoke heights. Standard products can be ordered online. Can my ornamental gate be automated?
Yes, all of our ornamental gates can be automated with swing or sliding operation. To ensure a perfect fit for your site, and more importantly a safe installation, we build the gate specially for automation. We do not retrofit electric gate kits.
Does a black metal gate increase property value?
A well maintained, aesthetically pleasing black metal gate can enhance curb appeal and potentially increase property value by adding a sense of security and elegance.
Why is black the most popular colour for ornamental gates?
As you may have noticed from our photos, a black metal gate is usually the most popular, due to the elegant and timeless appearance it provides. Traditionally, metal gates are painted black for a number of reasons including heat absorption, which can help to prevent the accumulation of moisture that might contribute to rusting. Our wrought iron style metal gates are made from modern tubular steel which is galvanised to prevent rust, and then optionally polyester powder coated black or another colour, for a high quality, durable finish that does not chip or peel like traditional paint.
Will a black metal gate get too hot in the sun?
Black surfaces do absorb more heat than lighter colours, so a black metal gate can get quite warm in direct sunlight. However, this does not affect the gate's structural integrity or use.
