Green Gardening

How Green Is Your Garden

Our gardens are often one of the places where we might feel closest to nature, providing a haven where we are able to actively promote our commitment to practising sound environmental practice.

Growing your own vegetables, avoiding the use of harmful pesticides, recycling household waste to create nourishing compost and even the recycling / harvesting of water have all become common place activities in our bid to achieve sustainability.

Not every company that uses timber will choose sustainable timber. It is integral to look at where the timber is being sourced for every timber product you buy. Look out for the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).

Sustainable Eco Fencing

It’s important to look out for responsibly sourced timber whenever you buy timber products. Read our advice on eco-friendly fencing.
