You may think there are not as many fence panel options for your rural garden.

A popular choice seen across much of the English countryside is post and rail fencing.  At Jacksons we have a range of post and rail to suit all rural gardens.  Commonly used as a demarcation fence, post and rail fencing isn't always suitable, and you might need a fence that will provide you with added security or privacy. There are many options available in this case, and a railing topper fence panel  could prove to be the ideal addition for your fence line.

Topper panels work by being installed on top of a short timber fence panel using our slotted Jakpost system. The posts are installed into the ground and the fence panels simply slot into the post and are screwed into place leaving enough remaining space for the railing topper to slot  on top.

Our metal railing topper panels can be combined with any panel of your choosing, but popular choices include Vertical or Horizontal Tongue and Groove. We offer railing panels in three styles, Concave - a downward curve, Convex - an arch, or a simple level top all with a distinctive ornamental topping.

For this project, Wessex Ground Services installed Railing Topper panels in a Convex style onto Vertical Tongue and Groove fencing panels. Our Railing Topper panels are manufactured from heavily galvanised steel that has been powder coated black. Our metal railings are covered by our 25 year service life guarantee so you can be ensured that are designed for a long service life, and match the guarantee length of our timber fencing.

Security may not be a top concern in rural areas, but with rural crime on the rise we are seeing more people invest in extra security, and the railing topper panel offers just that. The pales make it more difficult to climb and therefore unappealing for any unwanted visitors to gain entry.

As you can see, this home is blessed with beautiful rural views that you wouldn't want to spoil. The railings offer plenty of gaps to see the view beyond, and if we dare say so, maybe even improve it! The panels keep the garden feeling endless, and keep the views of the countryside going.
