The RHS Chelsea Flower Show continues to set the standard for excellence in garden design and outdoor living, bringing together leading designers, innovative brands, and industry professionals from across the world. It is a place where emerging trends and established craftsmanship meet, offering a clear insight into how gardens and outdoor spaces are evolving. Among the most prominent themes is the growing demand for outdoor kitchens, with exhibitors presenting increasingly refined and integrated approaches to cooking and entertaining outdoors.

Defining the Space with Venetian Hit and Miss Panels
We supplied the fence panels and shelter for the Charlie Oven stand, helping to create a complete, welcoming outdoor living space. Working alongside a premium outdoor cooking brand, the project demonstrated how carefully selected structures can enhance both the functionality and visual appeal of outdoor kitchens.
Our Venetian Hit and Miss fence panels and Venetian shelter have been featured in RHS stands in the past reflecting their status as some of our most popular products and a consistent choice among designers working on high profile show spaces. This year, our Venetian Hit and Miss fence panels were used to frame the stand and create a subtle screen for the area, without making it feel enclosed. Their alternating slatted design provides privacy and structure while still allowing light and airflow, making them particularly effective in busy show settings.
The clean, contemporary lines of the fencing complemented the bold and distinctive appearance of the Charlie Ovens products. Rather than competing for attention, the panels provided a neutral yet refined backdrop that enhanced the overall presentation. This demonstrated how fencing can play a key role in shaping outdoor kitchens, supporting both function and aesthetics.

Creating a Focal Point with the Venetian Retreat
To further define the space, we supplied our Venetian Retreat shelter, which created a covered area for cooking and gathering. This particular retreat was designed as a bespoke variation, incorporating our Venetian Hit and Miss panels rather than the standard slatted Venetian infill. This approach allowed for a more enclosed backdrop, helping to screen adjacent show infrastructure and maintain a clean, considered visual setting within the stand. This created a more refined and focused environment that supported the overall presentation while keeping attention on the outdoor kitchen display.

In modern outdoor kitchens, shelter is an increasingly important feature, allowing spaces to be used comfortably in a variety of weather conditions. During the warm, sunny days at RHS Chelsea 2026, the shelter proved essential shade, reinforcing how thoughtfully positioned structures play a key role in making outdoor kitchens and gardens, both comfortable and usable all year round.

The retreat acted as a focal point within the stand, providing a clear zone for interaction, reinforcing the idea that outdoor kitchens are not just about cooking, but about creating a complete environment for socialising and relaxation.
At RHS Chelsea, where every element must contribute to the overall design, the shelter added both structure and visual interest. It also reflected the broader trend towards outdoor rooms, where gardens are designed with the same level of detail and consideration as interior spaces.
Installation by Our Approved Installer
The installation of the entire stand was carried out by our Approved Installer, Jason from Oilcanfinish Outdoor Living. His expertise and dedication to the Jacksons Fencing brand ensured that every component was installed to the highest standard, delivering a precise and professional finish throughout.
Jason installed both our fencing and the bespoke Venetian Retreat shelter, ensuring they aligned perfectly with the overall design. In addition, he fitted the Trex composite decking as a TrexPRO Platinum installer. The decking provided a durable and visually consistent base for the stand, tying all elements together.

Showcasing the Future of Outdoor Kitchens
Outdoor kitchens were a key focus at RHS Chelsea 2026, reflecting their growing importance in modern garden design. Visitors are increasingly looking for ways to extend their living space outdoors, and well designed kitchens play a central role in this shift.
Our involvement in the Charlie Oven stand allowed us to demonstrate how fencing and shelter contribute to these spaces. With the added peace of mind of a 25 year guarantee on the fencing and shelter, the outdoor kitchen area is designed to be built to last. By creating definition, structure, and comfort, these elements help transform outdoor kitchens into environments that can be enjoyed throughout the year and for years to come.

Combined with expert installation from our Approved Installer, the project showcased how high quality materials and thoughtful design can come together to create a complete outdoor living environment. It also reinforced the importance of considering every element of a space when designing outdoor kitchens.
As demand for outdoor kitchens continues to grow, we remain focused on supporting projects that bring together structure, functionality, and style. RHS Chelsea provides an ideal platform to demonstrate this approach, and this project highlights what can be achieved through collaboration, attention to detail, and a shared commitment to quality.
