Resource Planner Office Manager

Job Information:

Set in the heart of the Kent countryside, Jacksons' mission from the outset has been to deliver outstanding quality across every aspect of the business. Across three sites we employ over 250 people in the design, manufacture and installation of timber and steel fencing and gates.

The Role:

To have overall management of the office part of fence erection and automation division and work closely with our Contracts manager who will take responsibility for the work in the field. It will be hands on role with demanding customer communication and problem solving skills required. The coordination of all parts of the role is key to success.

Key Tasks of the department

  • Plan new work with correct installers ensuring their skills match the job requirements.

  • Scheduling to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency and maintain skills register.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing, transport and clients

  • Coordinate internally with follow on trades

  • Source plant when required and off hire on time and on budget

  • Receive and authorise invoices, including internal and external timesheets.

  • Source accommodation

  • Renewal of maintenance contracts

  • Create Method statements and risk assessments for each job

  • Create the CE certificates for finished automation jobs

  • Update registers and databases for clients sites

  • Keeping log of costs associated with each project to manage costs and ensure we are delivering on budget.

  • Flagging and jobs where budget appears to be a problem before it is too late.

  • Manage customer’s expectations.

  • Liaise with sales about availability of resource.

  • Managing the work in the automation workshop to ensure parts are made in time.

  • Raise invoices for completed work, accurately and on time.
