How do garden gates open?
A gate will open depending on the hinges. Most commonly they are installed by the manufacturer on the rear side, allowing them to open inward as standard. If you would like your gate to open outward, hinges will need to be installed on the front of the gate.
What side will a gate open from?
You can choose when ordering a gate which side it will open from. Look for abbreviations such as LHH or RHH which mean left hand hanging or right-hand hanging. The hanging side is determined by looking at the gate as if you are standing looking at the front side of the gate. If you want to open the gate from the right-hand side, the gate will be hung on the left and therefore be LHH.
