About the panel

Mitre is a twist on a traditional picket fence design. Made using thinner, mitre topped pales Mitre oozes elegance and at home in rural front gardens.

Supplied in ready-made panels for use with our slotted Jakpost® posts

Perfect for front gardens or situations where natural light takes priority over privacy.

Panel Specification

Our Mitre fence panels are made using our trademark vacuum pressure treated Jakcure® softwood timber, guaranteed for 25 years. Constructed using stainless steel fixings, our fence panels are built to last.

• All fence panels are 1.83m wide
• Pales are 45mm x 16.5mm
• Spacing between pales is 40mm
• Pale tops are machined.
• The fence should be erected 50mm above ground level to prevent panel from touching the ground
• Gravel boards do not need to be used if panels are installed 50mm from the ground and there is no ground contact .

Please Note: dimensions may increase by 6% when first delivered as our treatment process can temporarily cause the product to swell.

​Installation Advice - Installation Instructions ​

Reducing the width of the fence panel – All fence panel are 1.83m wide as standard, if you require a narrower fence panel, you can cut the fence panel down on site using our cut down kit. Please remember to treat any cut ends with Jakcure Cut Treatment, to ensure you adhere to our 25-year guarantee guidelines.

Recommended Fixings

We recommend using 6 screws per panel or 12 per panel if using capping rails plus an additional 4 per gravel board. 60mm, stainless steel, self-drilling countersunk screws are available in packs of 100 or 200 to secure panels to posts. Panels should be screwed to the posts to secure the fence run.

The Mitre panels feature a traditional picket design with a little more elegance, making it equally at home in a rural or urban setting.

Jacksons gravel boards need to be used when panels are in contact with the ground as part the 25-year Jakcure® guarantee warrenty conditions. More details can be found on our Jakcure® T&C's page.
