Estate fencing has a traditional railing style, often associated with country parks and rural estates. Originally, estate rails and posts were manufactured from flat bar iron, which is prone to bending and can be heavy. In addition, if painted, it requires regular upkeep to remove flaking paint and refinish it.

Better Estate Fence And Railing Design

Our modern take on estate railings incorporates a tubular galvanised steel construction which is stronger than flat bar. Where powder coating painting is requested or ordered – an elegant shade of black is highly popular – we apply a premium polyester powder coating that does not chip or crack or need to be redone every few years. Like all of Jacksons’ steel fencing, our estate railings come with a 25 year service life guarantee. Post ends are filled with heavy duty black plastic infills, for all colours including galvanised as standard.

Please note: Panels cannot be raked, only stepped to accommodate sloping ground.

Metal Estate Fencing Specification

• Fence panel height: 1.215m above finished ground level
• Fence panel width: 2m wide, with 3 uprights/posts per panel
• Uprights/posts: 50 x 25 x 2mm RHS (end posts are drilled with 2 holes for bolting to the next panel)
• Rails: 5 x 19mm diameter CHS

Panels are bolted together using 2 x M8 x 65 Coach bolts (804100). If a panel needs reducing in size at the end of a run, a 50 x 50mm SHS end post is required (079801), the cut rails are then fed into the end post with uneven cuts hidden inside post (no fixings required).

If ordering in powder coating black we would recommend a can of touch up paint. 

Estate Railing Gates

Manufactured from the same high quality materials and with all the same benefits as our estate railings, our elegant estate gates are ideal when combined with estate railings or in the place of any metal field gate. Their graceful crook with diagonal strengthening brace adds an attractive feature and premium nature to the gate.

Remember to order: 2 x M8x65 Coach bolts (804100) to hold panels together.
