About the panel

Metro® fence panels are designed to make gardens feel longer with their continuous horizontal slatted design. A modern take on our Venetian fence panels, fence posts are installed behind the panel to create a continuous screen along the boundary. Supplied in two shorter heights, due to weight of the panel and to make it easier to move it around, it can be combined during installation to create a full height panel. If not used on the boundary fence line, Metro is the ideal screening panel for framing seating areas, adding a decorative feature or hiding unsightly garden objects.

Panel Specification

Our Metro fence panels are made using our trademark vacuum pressure treated Jakcure® softwood timber and are guaranteed for 25 years. Constructed using stainless steel fixings, our fence panels are built to last.

The panel is supplied in two shorter heights that can be combined during installation.

• Pales are 45mm x 16mm
• Gap between pales is 30mm (which is larger than standard Venetian)
• 0.907m panels have 12 pales
• 0.607m panels have 8 pales
• Panels have two vertical rails 45mm x 34mm
• Metro cannot be used with slotted Jakposts
• Metro uses a unique gravel board (667620)
• If installing panels at corners an internal batten is required - 667300C

Please Note: dimensions may increase by 6% when first delivered as our treatment process can temporarily cause the product to swell.

Fence Post Options – 91mm x 91mm standard square posts are recommended. Choose height that suits height of fence and ground conditions

​Gravel board options-  Gravel board for use with metro panels​

To meet the conditions of the 25 year guarantee, gravel boards are required where panels are in contact with the ground.

Reducing the width of the fence panel –  All fence panel are 1.83m wide as standard, if you require a narrower fence panel, you can cut the fence panel down on site using our cut down kit. Please remember to treat any cut ends with Jakcure Cut Treatment, to ensure you adhere to our 25-year guarantee guidelines.

If you require a non standard width panel e.g. to complete your fence run you would need 5 ½ panels, add a cut down kit to your basket in order to be able to cut the panel to the required size. Alternatively, please give us a call to speak to us about ordering a bespoke panel.

Standard Venetian gates will complement this panel perfectly

Standard 91 x 91mm posts are used with this panel

A unique Metro gravel board is required with this product

Capping rails are recommended to finish off the panel
