Installation & Care

• Avoid cutting, drilling, or notching timber that will be in-ground (as per Jakcure® guarantee). If cutting is unavoidable, apply Cut Treatment generously
• Set posts in concrete or post fix mix at least 0.6m deep

• Recommended post fix mix: 3 bags per post for soft ground/exposed areas, 2 bags per post for firm ground

Our timber Jakposts are built for strength and longevity. Occasionally, you may notice slight timber disruption around nails, caused by natural material variation and nail insertion force. This is purely cosmetic and can be trimmed with a craft knife or lightly sanded. It does not affect structural integrity or our 25 year guarantee.

Post Options

Standard Jakpost®:100mm x 100mm nominal planed finish with two 54mm x 25mm slots for fence panels

Heavy Duty Jakpost®:120mm x 124mm nominal, planed finish with two 54mm x 25mm slots for fence panels

Angled Slotted Jakpost®:For changes in direction (30°–45°) – perfect for non-standard fence runs

End Post - For posts at the end of a run, please add extra slotted interpost and End Post Infill Strip to your order.

Useful Notes

1. 54mm wide x 25mm deep slot is to allow a clearance on our 50mm wide panel framing.
2. For angled runs: use Angled Slotted Jakpost®
3. Calculate run length: 1830mm per panel + 75mm per end + 50mm per intermediate post

Heavy Duty Slotted Fence Posts are available and should be used when the overall fence height is 2.0m and over, where there is the possibility of high wind load, or the fence is steeply stepped. Jakposts are ideal when adding trellis topping panels.

Fence Posts

If you a require a fence to have a corner but not as sharp as 90 degrees, we now offer a 30- 45 degree angled fence post that will give a seamless look. The other option is to use  two end posts are installed back to back as shown in the image
