Back in October 2008 when Jacksons announced their sponsorship of the already successful Show Jumper, Guy Williams, he was ranked No.11 in the GB BSJA rankings.
2010 saw Guy continue his ascent, including a notable triumph winning the coveted DFS Derby at Hickstead in June, of which he can be justifiably proud.
And as the year closed he ended it in style by achieving the No. 1 slot in the B S rankings for Great Britain (The BSJA is now to be known as British Showjumping) ahead of other household names Robert Whitaker and Ben Maher.
We asked Guy how he felt about his achievement,
"I've been riding professionally for over 20 years, so it feels great to get to number one in Great Britain, I would love to climb higher up in the world rankings now."
We all would like to congratulate him on his current success and the burning question on many lips is what are his thoughts on the upcoming Olympics in 2012?
"I think I've got a good chance of being selected to represent Great Britain, I've got a string of superb horses, we are all raring to go - all we need now is a bit of good luck!"
Fingers crossed and it's onwards and upwards for Guy in 2011.
