About the panel

Contemporary and sleek, a variation of the Venetian style fence, Venetian Hit and Miss fence panels complement suburban gardens as well as more traditional style gardens beautifully.

Part of our premium good both sides range, the panel has venetian pales attached to both sides in a hit and miss design. Its semi-solid design creates privacy while still allowing some light through the panel. Both air and light can pass through the panel, but view through is obscured.

Due to how the panel is designed and constructed the panel itself is very heavy. For ease of handling, we make the panel in two heights that can be combined during the installation. Both heights are 1.83m wide supplied alongside a cut down kit to assemble to panels

Panel Specification

Our Venetian Hit and Miss fence panels are made using our trademark vacuum pressure treated Jakcure® softwood timber, guaranteed for 25 years. Built using stainless steel fixings to ensure longevity, our fence panels are built to last.

• 2 x 0.907m panels + 140mm gravel board = 1954mm fence
• 1 x 0.907m & 1 x 0.607m + 140mm gravel board = 1654mm fence
• Horizontal slats 45mm x 16mm
• Gap between slats is 30mm
• Distance between pales is larger than standard Venetian fence panels
• The panel is semi-solid so from some angles you will be able to see through the panel
• Taller variants can be achieved by stacking these panels, up to 2.4m tall, using heavy slotted posts. Please note you may require planning permission if you fence height exceeds 2m

Please Note: dimensions may increase by 6% when first delivered as our treatment process can temporarily cause the product to swell.

We do not manufacture 1.83m x 1.83m Venetian Hit and Miss panels. Combining 2 x 0.907m panels will give you a fence height of 1.8m but you must add a gravel board for our 25 year guarantee to be valid making the total fence height 1.95m.

To achieve a taller fence, the panels can be stacked - for example stacking two 0.907m panels will give you 1.807m high plus 140mm gravel board gives a total fence height of 1.97m

To meet the conditions of the 25 year guarantee, gravel boards are required where panels are in contact with the ground.

Reducing the width of the fence panel –  All fence panel are 1.83m wide as standard, if you require a narrower fence panel, you can cut the fence panel down on site using our cut down kit. Please remember to treat any cut ends with Jakcure Cut Treatment, to ensure you adhere to our 25-year guarantee guidelines.

Recommended Fixings

We recommend using 6 screws per panel or 12 per panel if using capping rails plus an additional 4 per gravel board. 60mm, stainless steel, self-drilling countersunk screws are available in packs of 100 or 200 to secure panels to posts. Panels should be screwed to the posts to secure the fence run.

If you require a non standard width panel e.g. to complete your fence run you would need 5 ½ panels, add a cut down kit to your basket in order to be able to cut the panel to the required size. Alternatively, please give us a call to speak to us about ordering a bespoke panel.
