Earlier this year, BBC Local Radio and the RHS teamed up to run a competition calling for amateur gardeners and aspiring garden designers to take inspiration from their local area to design a "Feel Good Front Garden" that could be built at the 2016 RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

The four winning entrants have worked with judges and mentors to create four small front gardens to the backdrop of Jacksons RHS facades that previously featured in Jacksons Silver Gilt winning Secret Garden Party show garden at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2015.

Jacksons also offered further support to the Feel Good Front Gardens feature at this year’s show by supplying its very high quality fencing for all four winning gardens. The fencing styles at the show included the popular Woven and Chilham panels, along with the new Venetian Hit and Miss. Launched this summer; this panel is a variation on the original Jacksons Venetian panel. Designed with horizontal slats fixed on both sides, this contemporary and sleek panel allows some light and air to pass through, while offering privacy by obscuring direct line of sight.

Jacksons Fencing commented, ‘It was fantastic to see the facades return to the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, they were a big hit with many visitors at the show last year as they set the scene for a terraced front garden, without interfering with the visitor’s view in anyway.  We are also delighted to be able to help support the Feel Good Front Gardens project by supplying our premium panels, they have been beautifully integrated into the gardens by the designers, and although this competition was open to amateurs, all four gardens are stunning. We wish Sarah, Simon, Lee and the team from the Eden Project learning centre every success in the future.
